The external fabric of a building plays a vital role in its performance and the over all aesthetic impact. We always carefully choose products that suit performance requirements, energy and fire rating, weather, and longevity while also maintaining a beautiful yet modest exterior finish.

The relationship between a building and its landscape is critical, and often we see imposing (out of place) structures taking over rather than becoming part of the environment. At ample, we feel it is our duty to respect the land we inhabit by sympathetically nestling within it.

Whether it be a classic galvanized corrugated sheet, ship lapped hard wood or Corten steel, the goal is to have the building sit quietly in the landscape. We don’t want our designs trying too hard to impress, subtlety and performance are the key criteria.
