The basalt project when complete, will be a luxury accommodation package that will contribute to the overall hospitality and cellar door offering that the Basalt Vineyard is known for.

The accommodation will generate its own revenue but will also compliment the other revenue streams basalt already has.

Like food. Having couples stay will provide the opportunity for more covers in the dining business, as well as providing additional revenue opportunity from add on’s like breakfast and picnic packs.

Wine sales and tastings. More people through the cellar door is likely to provide more opportunity to showcase and sell their wines.

We provided this business with a full estimate cost for the project as well as a detailed feasibility based on local occupancy rates and the estimate overheads of operating the additional luxury accommodation.

The presentation shows that the addition of our buildings makes basalt even more of a destination and will likely significantly increase the overall value of the property and the business as a going concern.
